Come visit Oconee County, South Carolina's "Golden Corner" September 4-8, 2018 and be entertained at one of the oldest festivals in the south, The South Carolina Apple Festival in Westminster. This is the 57th year for the Apple Festival, which celebrates the beginning of the apple harvest in Oconee County.
The festival peaks on Friday and Saturday with numerous events including the Apple Festival parade, children's craft booth, and an IPRA rodeo. The chorus, strings, and band groups from the local schools will be providing entertainment during the day on Friday along with other performers. Other live entertainment is scheduled for Saturday.
In addition to all of the events taking place, downtown will be alive with numerous craft booths, kids rides, and wonderful food vendors that will tempt the strongest of will powers. Whether you prefer a full barbecue dinner, sandwiches, hot dogs, funnel cake, fried apples pies, homemade ice cream, or want to stock up on home grown apples, local honey and fruit preserves, it's all there! If you have never tasted a Blossom Onion, this is your chance!
Whether you enjoy whitewater rafting, shopping for arts & crafts, browsing antique shops, watching a parade, or listening to good music, the South Carolina Apple Festival offers something for everyone in the family.
Many of the events are free and all are planned with the entire family in mind. Come celebrate with us during this time at the South Carolina Apple Festival. For more information call us at (864) 647-7223 or contact us.
